My county currently uses Math
Trailblazers (MTb) for math instruction. We supplement some material,
but MTb is the primary program for teaching math.

I've made some of my own
things that go with the program. The program uses Daily Practice
Problems (DPP) to reinforce the concepts learned during math. I use
these problems in the morning for our morning work. Each child is given
a packet and keeps it in their desk. Each morning I put which problems
they are to complete for the day.
The list of DPP packets
will grow as the year progresses, so be sure to check back later to see
more units!

One of the things that
makes MTb so great are the TIMS Labs. TIMS stands for
Teaching Integrated
Math and Science.
The labs are a great way for students to explore the unit through hands
on learning. Each student is given a lab packet and they complete all
pages of their packet. When the lab is finished, they turn in their
packets.

In addition to making the DPP
and Lab packets, I've also made the black-line masters that I use with
each unit. Each of these masters are used throughout the entire MTb
book.
